Dear readers, this blog is becoming a chore to maintain and I need some encouragement to continue! Please comment on this post saying why and how often you read it and why I should continue.

I have been following your blog for quite some time now and I am always fascinated by the fact that you manage to find so much bellringing news; can it simply be a case of typing 'bellringing' into Google? - I think not. I can see how this could become a chore; it happens to many bloggers. As I see it you have a few options. [1] Stop [2] Continue [3] Stop and resume later [4] Continue and give up later anyway [5] Reduce the frequency of posts and reserve the time to one session per week which you can enjoy, fosuc on major news items. If it is becoming a chore then you are clearly not enjoying it. If you were to have a break you may find you miss it and would return afresh. Thank you for bringing the news to our attention; you have done a great job.

Hi Colin, Thanks for your thoughts on stopping/continuing.

FYI, re finding the news, I have several google news alerts set up for various combinations of "bell" Ringing" "bellringing" "Church" "foundry" "campanology". This results in 10-20 emails/day which I skim read to pick out the articles I want. I read the articles and if I want to put them onto my blog I copy and paste from the email.

I haven't yet decided what to do (Perhaps this is your option 4!) but will post something if I stop.

I have been following this blog for sometime after being told about it by a fellow ringer. I find the blog really useful to see what is going on in ringing throughout the UK.

PS would it be easy to add facebook and Twitter buttons to every post and page alongside the Google plus button? Then we can easily help you to publicise posts on social media.

I personally think its a great resource and would not like to see if disappear. Perhaps you could get some help? Maybe a couple of people could take a day or two each week and do what you do, thus freeing up some of your time?
