IT took months to prepare and hours of practice but Melbourne was alive with the sound of music as it hosted a national bell-ringing contest. Members of 10 competing teams and hundreds of their supporters descended on the town for the 37th annual 12-Bell Striking Contest at Melbourne Parish Church.
